AutoTecx has been my mechanic for nearly six years. It’s a great feeling to know that I can rely on them whenever my car needs attention. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Friendly, helpful and honest. Multiple times I’ve been quoted excessive amounts for repair and then go to AutoTecx and pay a tenth! Sometimes it is about the same price , but I’d rather they do the repair, bc I now TRUST them!

I definitely recommend Auto Tex as your friendly neighborhood autoshop! I brought in my 2013 Hyundai Sonata for a wiring/electrical issue where my brake lights worked consistently but my tail lights would not. They let me drop off my car the very next morning and even though I told them that since I’m working from home it wasn’t urgent for me to get the car back, it was ready for pickup the next day! After completing their diagnostics, they called me to let me know what they needed to do and the cost which seemed really reasonable compared to the dealership charging an arm and a leg for the same service. I noticed that their lobby and shop were very clean and organized and their Covid protocols were great with everyone wearing masks and disinfecting the lobby area and card machine. Saad is the man, he was really friendly and explained everything to me at a basic level that I could understand without being condescending like I’ve experienced at other shops. He also remembered my friend who recommended them to me even though it was more than 3 years ago that she brought her car in, I think that speaks volumes for their level of customer care!
Adding that this is for the Auto Tex on Clark, not Touhy, I’m not sure if they’re related.

Great service and friendly mechanics. I had a nail in my tire and called for an appointment, they saw me right away, had the tire fixed and back on the car. Start to finish it took 15 minutes. Well done and well priced.
